I'm getting ready to come out to SFAI for the Summe rTerm, June through mid-August, and want to find a decent sublet in the Russian/Telegraph Hill/ Pac Hts, North Beach Area.
As a person who has spent 30 years in Chicago and with few connections out there, I'm looking for assistance in locating a studio or 1BR place. I don't have a car, and don't want to care for pets. I'll water plants and bring in your mail, that's totally doable.
This is work-related, not a vacation so that should make it clear that I'm responsible and serious about finding a good place. Should you have a lead, please fire off an email in my direction.

Tue, April 6, 2004 - 6:31 PMOh, I am. Its slow and only has a few new posts per day for my area. I saw a Victorian Hotel about 10 block away that is $300 per week. That seems to be better than mosr rental rates. -

Teaching? I wish. I'll be taking classes there working towards an MFA in painting. I figured close and convenient this year and as I get a better feel for the city I can look out further. I'm going to try to find a good book with a MUNI map to figure out how to get around and take in the sights. -
